At Anne Hutchinson School, we believe high levels of academic rigor and the greatest cognitive growth occur through social interaction and we know such interaction requires mutual respect. This belief and this knowledge are the foundation of the Anne Hutch has H.E.A.R.T. program.
Undoubtedly, in our school today and in their future places of employment, our students will meet and work alongside people from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, ethnicities, and religious beliefs. The explicit teaching of tolerance guides our children to embrace diversity and prepares them well for our increasingly complex and global world.
Throughout the month of January, our school community will explore the concept of tolerance as seeking to identify, understand, respect, and appreciate differences in people and we are quickly coming to realize that the only thing we all truly have in common is that we are all different.
