We are excited to partner, once again, with The Loukoumi Make a Difference Foundation in a new charitable collaboration with the Broadway play Come From Away, a Tony Award winning musical that tells the ultimate story of kindness as a town in Newfoundland, Canada embraced over 7,000 airline passengers whose planes were diverted there on September 11th, 2001. Click here for a glimpse into the show and its powerful message.
In October, on National Make a Difference Day with Loukoumi, several Anne Hutch students visited the theater and presented the producers with a Loukoumi Make a Difference Award and launched our partnership. At our recent H.E.A.R.T. assembly, students learned about the events of September 11, 2001 and our Good Deed of the Month. This month’s good deed includes writing a caring card to a family affected by 9/11 to let them know their loved one is still remembered and honored today. It also includes a dollar donation to the charitable organization Broadway Cares.
For more information, including the opportunity to attend the show and an exclusive Q&A for our group after the show, please see the upcoming flyer in your child’s backpack or visit: www.LoukoumiFoundation.org.
