Our 4th graders presented a very impressive “Living Wax Museum” today! This was the culminating event for a recent research project. The project required students to select a famous person, conduct extensive research, and create a biography poster. Our talented 4th graders used the information from their research to create a monologue to perform! Teachers, students, and special guests enjoyed pushing a button and bringing our “wax figures” to life.
Please note the Social Skills Ceremony will take place for students of all grade levels on Friday, May 15th at 9:30 am. There will be no ceremony on Friday, May 8th.
It is hard to believe that we will soon begin the process of placing students in classes for the 2020-21 school year! As a school community, we are very thoughtful about your child’s class placement. We consider his or her program needs, academic performance, and social emotional development. Classroom teachers, along with support staff, work hard to create optimal learning environments across the school. Although placements are not done based on parent requests, I do ask that you forward me any particular considerations about your child’s placement in writing no later than Friday, April 3, 2020. (An email to me at email@example.com is preferred.) Please note that this does not include requesting a specific teacher. For planning purposes, requests will not be accepted after Friday, April 3, 2020. Placement letters will be available in late August, following the screening of all new students.
