Waverly is Determined!!

Thanks for your support!

May 20th, 2019

Dear Families,

The Fun Run was a success!

Good Deed Day is May 29th!

Throughout the month of May, we’ve explored how we can be more determined in our everyday lives. Our Good Deed this month was to engage in the Fun Run to support our school! It took a lot of determination to run those 35 laps!

We will celebrate Good Deed Day on Wednesday, May 29th! During this time, we’ll sing a special song with Mrs. Ness about never giving up! (Be sure to have your child wear their red Waverly shirt!)

Thank you for your support! We raised $20K to fund our Wellness Programs!

With donations pouring in from 24 states and five countries, we are humbled by your support of our wellness programs at Waverly. Our students had a blast! Photos will be shared in the next Whisper.

Waverly honored at Loukoumi event on May 19th

Our monthly “Good Deed” was recognized by the Loukoumi Foundation at their annual Make a Difference Dance Party. Several Waverly families attended. A summary of our good deeds is available on our website.

In the picture on the left, kindergarten students join hands to walk up and accept the award. On the right, Waverly children pose with Loukoumi, Ms. Doyle, Mr. Katsoris and his daughter, a Waverly alum.

Visiting Waverly’s Playground

We are fortunate to have a great playground on which Waverly students are able to play during recess, as well as some of their physical education classes. With this in mind, please refrain from using the playground during school hours. This is particularly tempting when waiting for dismissal, so we appreciate your cooperation.

We’d like to express our sincerest thanks to the parents who helped to put together the Art Show.
